In January 2019, Black & McDonald (B&M) was contracted to assist with the Phase 2A supply and installation of a grow room electrical project. By February 5, B&M was awarded the distribution contract for the full Phase 2.

B&M SCOPE OF WORK

The scope included a new electrical service entrance; layout drawings; installation of four owner supplied 2,000 kVA transformers; supply and installation of a new utility pole and sectionalizer feeding the four transformers and underground conduits; supply and installation of new electrical room main breakers; and two 1,500 kVA generators, paralleled together and feeding a 4,000 kVA synchronizing transfer switch for emergency backup. B&M was also responsible for designing the supports and routing of more than 40,000 linear feet of distribution conduits, and supplying and installing more than 75 distribution panels, four distribution boards and four 3,000 amp service entrance boards including tie breakers. Work started on January 21, 2019 with Phase 2A and was completed on schedule by July 26, 2019.
