Project Description
Yonge Street is being widened to allow for dedicated Viva Bus Rapidway lanes down the centre of the road in Richmond Hill through to Newmarket for York Region’s transit system. Viva stops will feature permanent installations being both decorative and custom.
B&M Scope of Work
Black & McDonald (B&M) is tasked with:
- Supply and installation of 30 temporary and permanent intersections
- Constructing 10 km of temporary & permanent roadway lighting
- Installing 10 km of fibre optic cable
- Supply and installation of decorative and custom lighting
- Constructing VivaNext platform bus station platforms complete with electrical and ITS systems
