PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Highway 401 traffic message signage from Hurontario Street to Avenue Road for upgrades and extensions of the Advanced Traffic Management System Variable Message Sign (VMS).
B&M SCOPE OF WORK
Along with maintenance and warranty for ATMS, and removal of sign support structure and repair of existing structure, Black & McDonald (B&M) was contracted to supply and install the following electrical and civil works:
- Low voltage cables, ground wires
- Uninterruptible power supply
- Spare components for ATMS work
- System Integration testing to ATMS work
- Controller cabinets, fibre optic cables, in ducts
- Data interface cables, fibre optic ethernet modems
- 17 Variable Message Signs (VMS)
- Power supply cabinets
- VMS structures
