PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Innpower manages the distribution, infrastructure, and service in the Town of Innisfil. Innpower distributes electricity to the town’s homes, businesses and industries. Its customers’ electricity meters are read monthly. Innisfil’s electricity rates were reduced six times following the service area expansion.
Innisfil operates nine substations, each with an incoming voltage of 44,000 volts. There are over 525 km of high voltage lines under the company’s jurisdiction, covering the 290 sq. km service area.
B&M SCOPE OF WORK
Black & McDonald (B&M) was tasked with performing high-voltage maintenance, repairs, oil analysis and infrared scanning. Projects included design, procurement, installation setting development and commissioning of the new systems. Other special projects include turnkey substation construction.
B&M’s services include detailed inspections and testing on:

- Insulating oil analysis
