PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Black & McDonald (B&M) was trusted with a contract to put together complete numerous overhead and underground electrical rebuilds for Horizon Utilities (now known as Alectra Utilities) in the Hamilton and St. Catharine’s area. The three year service agreement spanned from 2015 to 2018.
B&M SCOPE OF WORK
- Vine conversion phase 1, 2, 3, and 4
- 1 circuit and 2 circuit rebuild in the Township of Vine, St. Catharines to handle higher customer load requirements that required feeder to be upgraded
- Installed 400+ wood and concrete poles and associated hardware and anchors
- Installed new three phase conductor and removed old conductor
- Completed directional drilling and underground duct work
- Completed all switching, isolation outages, and electrical power interruptions
- Transferred all overhead and underground secondary service
