PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Established in 1917, Cushman & Wakefield is a leading global real estate services firm that provides clients with the insight to make real state decisions. Black & McDonald (B&M) was invited along with two other service vendors to participate in a tender process to replace the Cooling Towers at Halifax Shopping Centre. The key items within the tender were to meet a tight time deadline, with the logistics including the continual operation of the Chiller Plant safely executed throughout the process.
B&M SCOPE OF WORK
B&M met with Cushman & Wakefield Asset Services to deliver the project execution. This involved scheduling, documentation, logistics, off-site preparation, fabrication, multiple crane set-ups mobilization, and the staggered installation of the six towers and start up and commissioning. All new supply and return piping was installed. The entire support structure for the towers was refurbished with an industrial, protective coating.
BENEFITS TO CLIENT
Commissioning and start up were completed on time with no disruption to the tenants in the shopping centre.
