PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Born out of the desire to bolster the post-war midwestern economy, MRI Global was established with a mission to supply needed research for industry and to encourage programs using regional resources. Now MRI Global is an internationally acclaimed center for applied research and technology development. Its accomplishments range from pioneering efforts in environmental and cancer research to cutting-edge work in drug development and high-precision automation technology.

B&M SCOPE OF WORK

Black & McDonald (B&M) is an onsite maintenance service provider working with MRI Global to maintain and upgrade various systems within their facilities as well as small projects. B&M has installed back up emergency generators under one megawatt in size. These units were all natural gas fed and supply essential power to various selected systems within. New electrical feeds have been installed for the various heating and cooling systems such as chillers and boilers. Most notable is B&M’s electrical installation for the new labs that were built under strict ABSL (Animal Biosafety Levels) specifications.
