At Black & McDonald, the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, customers, and the public have always been our top priority. As we continue our journey of continuous improvement, during Safety and Health Week we are excited to introduce our latest initiative: Energy-Based Safety.
What is Energy-Based Safety? Energy-Based Safety is a key Corporate Health, Safety and Environment initiative for 2025 that focuses on identifying and controlling potential hazards by analyzing the different forms of energy present in a workplace. This approach defines every injury as a result of uncontrolled energy coming into contact with a worker and introduces tools like the “Energy Wheel” to systematically identify these energy sources and implement effective direct controls. At Black & McDonald, we are committed to creating a safe and healthy environment for everyone. Our Energy-Based Safety initiative is a crucial step toward achieving this goal. By working together and staying vigilant, we can ensure that everyone goes home safely at the end of the day.
