B&M Gives RMH BC and Yukon a Helping Hand to Support Serious Ill Children and Their Families

Black & McDonald’s FMO and Service Divisions make annual contributions to Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon, an organization that provides accommodation and a community of support for families far from home so that they may be near their seriously ill children.

This year our technicians were asked by the charity if they could install touchless toilets and faucets for families staying in Vancouver to better protect immune compromised children. Our team immediately and enthusiastically agreed to upgrade 11 existing toilets and urinals on the communal floor, ensuring that everyone would be safer.

“The new fixtures provide increased peace of mind for families during a very challenging time. The Black & McDonald team ensured everything went smoothly, from communicating timelines to installation,” said Richard Pass, CEO, Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon.  “Keeping families close to their sick child is vital to the healing process and we rely on the support of the entire community to continue to support families from across BC and Yukon.”

Every year, Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon assists up to 2,000 families, when they need to travel to Vancouver for treatment of a critically ill child. To contact the organization, email info@rmhbc.ca.
