Millions of people around the world put up Christmas lights every year, but Susan Patterson, B&M Senior Collection Specialist at Pullman Court, has taken it to another level entirely.
Susan and her next door neighbours are displaying a total of 15,000 lights and dozens of inflatable figures. This year the show is getting media coverage by CBC National, CP24, City News and Blog TO.
“Me and my husband Ken started the custom 15 years ago,” explained Susan. “We started small and increased the decorations every year. Then our neighbours Nighthawk and Kelly McKenzie joined in.
“With so many people feeling sad this year, seeing people, especially children, smile is more than enough payment,” she said.
The Christmas decorations are at 226-228 Brenyon Way, Scarborough, ON and run 4-11 p.m. until Christmas Eve. They will then stay on continuously until Boxing Day. After Boxing Day the lights go back to the regular 4-11 p.m. schedule until New Year’s Day.
