National Indigenous History Month is a time to celebrate the rich cultures and significant contributions of Indigenous peoples, including the Métis, First Nations, and Inuit communities. We are committed to recognizing and honouring the contribution of these communities in Canada.
During this National Indigenous History Month, we are honoured to highlight the inspiring journey of Dayna Pavich, President of Infinity Generation Services (IGS) who hails from Prince George, BC. IGS is an Indigenous and Woman-Owned company that services electrical generation facilities across Ontario.
Immersed in Métis heritage from a young age, Dayna witnessed her father’s passionate advocacy for Métis rights which ultimately laid the foundation for her own dedication to the community. Today, she continues this legacy proudly as a member of the Métis Nation of Ontario. To all young Indigenous team members, Dayna offers this advice: “Never let a ‘no’ deter you. Leverage the power of your community, be bold, be persistent, and never give up on your dreams.”
Join us in celebrating National Indigenous History Month and recognizing the invaluable contributions of Indigenous team members within our Black & McDonald family.
