M\u00eame avant la COVID-19, le groupe de r\u00e9flexion estimait que le Canada manquerait d\u2019un million de professionnels qualifi\u00e9s d\u2019ici 2020. La plus grande province du Canada, l\u2019Ontario, accuse un retard d\u2019environ 190&nbsp;000&nbsp;postes non pourvus et on s\u2019attend \u00e0 ce que ce nombre atteigne 364&nbsp;000 d\u2019ici 2025, et 564&nbsp;000 d\u2019ici 2030. Il faut accro\u00eetre l\u2019offre de travailleurs qualifi\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Banque de d\u00e9veloppement du Canada est \u00e9galement d\u2019avis que les p\u00e9nuries de main-d\u2019\u0153uvre sont les plus graves en Ontario, en Colombie-Britannique et dans les provinces de l\u2019Atlantique. \u00c0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle du Canada, pr\u00e8s de 40&nbsp;% des employeurs interrog\u00e9s en 2018 ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 avoir des difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 trouver de nouveaux employ\u00e9s qualifi\u00e9s. Cette p\u00e9nurie \u00e9touffe la croissance et la productivit\u00e9, car les entreprises ont du mal \u00e0 trouver les bons \u00e9l\u00e9ments. Les principaux secteurs touch\u00e9s demeurent ceux de la construction et de la fabrication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2019, le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral a lanc\u00e9 l\u2019Allocation canadienne pour la formation, qui offre un ensemble de cr\u00e9dits d\u2019imp\u00f4t, de soutiens du revenu et de cong\u00e9s pour se perfectionner. Il a \u00e9galement introduit les programmes de pr\u00eats canadiens aux apprentis et de subventions aux apprentis. Par ailleurs, l\u2019Ontario a r\u00e9cemment investi environ 75&nbsp;millions de dollars dans trois programmes visant \u00e0 exposer les \u00e9l\u00e8ves du secondaire \u00e0 des possibilit\u00e9s, \u00e0 savoir le Programme d\u2019apprentissage pour les jeunes de l\u2019Ontario, le programme de Majeure Haute Sp\u00e9cialisation et un programme de pr\u00e9apprentissage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Est-ce suffisant? C\u2019est un d\u00e9but, mais il faut faire beaucoup plus. Voici trois autres mesures n\u00e9cessaires pour accro\u00eetre l\u2019offre de travailleurs de grande valeur dans le secteur de la construction et de la maintenance en attirant de nouvelles recrues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-les-professions-qualifi-es-doivent-allier-les-comp-tences-num-riques-aux-comp-tences-pratiques\"><strong>Les professions qualifi\u00e9es doivent allier les comp\u00e9tences num\u00e9riques aux comp\u00e9tences pratiques<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Un r\u00e9cent rapport du Conference Board du Canada et du Centre des Comp\u00e9tences Futures a conclu \u00e0 la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019engager une refonte des mod\u00e8les et des m\u00e9thodes de formation pour mettre l\u2019accent sur les comp\u00e9tences num\u00e9riques et l\u2019apprentissage tout au long de la vie. Cela englobe les aspects techniques, la gestion de l\u2019information, la communication num\u00e9rique, la collaboration virtuelle, la cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9, la pens\u00e9e critique et la r\u00e9solution de probl\u00e8mes dans les espaces num\u00e9riques. Avec les perturbations sociales et technologiques constantes que l\u2019on observe dans les milieux de travail d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui, les nouveaux professionnels de la technologie de la construction et de la maintenance doivent avoir une bonne connaissance des technologies num\u00e9riques, et les plus chevronn\u00e9s doivent avoir acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des possibilit\u00e9s d\u2019actualisation de leurs connaissances. Si l\u2019on veut un milieu de travail performant o\u00f9 le moral est \u00e9lev\u00e9, on doit doter son \u00e9quipe de professionnels des connaissances, des outils et de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience n\u00e9cessaires pour garantir la r\u00e9ussite dans l\u2019\u00e9conomie du 21<sup>e<\/sup>&nbsp;si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-un-recrutement-inclusif-encourageant-les-femmes-les-autochtones-les-personnes-priv-es-de-droits-et-les-personnes-d-plac-es-embrasser-des-carri-res-dans-les-m-tiers-sp-cialis-s\"><strong>Un recrutement inclusif encourageant les femmes, les autochtones, les personnes priv\u00e9es de droits et les personnes d\u00e9plac\u00e9es \u00e0 embrasser des carri\u00e8res dans les m\u00e9tiers sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous ne pouvons pas \u00e9liminer l\u2019\u00e9cart sans attirer les femmes, les jeunes autochtones, les personnes priv\u00e9es de leurs droits et celles d\u00e9plac\u00e9es par les changements \u00e9conomiques structurels. Les dirigeants, les \u00e9ducateurs, les entreprises et les communaut\u00e9s doivent s\u2019unir pour d\u00e9velopper des programmes de recrutement actifs et cibl\u00e9s qui respectent la contribution de ces ressources, tout en offrant des environnements de travail stimulants, collaboratifs et s\u00fbrs. Ils doivent \u00e9galement inciter ces groupes de personnes \u00e0 fa\u00e7onner et \u00e0 changer le monde \u00e0 l\u2019aide de solutions fond\u00e9es sur les comp\u00e9tences et souligner la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 que procure le fait de faire partie d\u2019une carri\u00e8re \u00e0 forte demande. Il importe \u00e9galement qu\u2019ils cr\u00e9ent des environnements inclusifs o\u00f9 les nouveaux employ\u00e9s peuvent s\u2019attaquer \u00e0 des probl\u00e8mes tels que le changement climatique en cr\u00e9ant des infrastructures propres et vertes qui suscitent la fiert\u00e9, tout en s\u2019occupant des affaires et en menant une vie \u00e9panouie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-transformer-la-perception-de-ces-r-les-par-des-discours-plus-convaincants\"><strong>Transformer la perception de ces r\u00f4les par des discours plus convaincants<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Les mots peuvent \u00eatre puissants. C\u2019est pourquoi il importe d\u2019actualiser la terminologie et le discours du secteur des m\u00e9tiers sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s. Nous devons transformer la terminologie du 19<sup>e<\/sup>&nbsp;si\u00e8cle en concepts du 21<sup>e<\/sup>&nbsp;si\u00e8cle. La m\u00e9decine, l\u2019ing\u00e9nierie et les technologies de l\u2019information l\u2019ont fait avec succ\u00e8s. Il est fini le temps du docteur des yeux ou du c\u0153ur. Aujourd\u2019hui vous \u00eates un ophtalmologiste ou un cardiologue. Il en va de m\u00eame dans le domaine des TI o\u00f9 vous pouvez devenir architecte de syst\u00e8mes. R\u00e9inventer ces r\u00f4les peut donc contribuer \u00e0 attirer du sang neuf en tenant un discours nouveau et convaincant. Peut-\u00eatre qu\u2019adopter l\u2019angle des \u00ab&nbsp;nouvelles technologies&nbsp;\u00bb permettrait d\u2019atteindre cet objectif. Sait-on jamais, un chaudronnier pourrait-il s\u2019appeler un thermodynamicien des fluides, ou un soudeur, un fusionneur de m\u00e9taux? Les possibilit\u00e9s sont infinies si on tient un discours inspirant \u00e0 propos des professionnels qualifi\u00e9s. Vous avez peut-\u00eatre remarqu\u00e9 que nous n\u2019avons jamais qualifi\u00e9 ces professionnels talentueux de \u00ab&nbsp;personnes de m\u00e9tier&nbsp;\u00bb. Il est temps de repenser les r\u00f4les et d\u2019actualiser le langage pour que les personnes qui choisissent leur parcours professionnel s\u2019ouvrent \u00e0 des possibilit\u00e9s passionnantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outre les mesures d\u2019incitation publiques, le fait de r\u00e9inventer la formation, d\u2019offrir des possibilit\u00e9s d\u2019int\u00e9gration et de transformer le discours du secteur des professionnels des nouvelles technologies peut attirer suffisamment de recrues pour \u00e9liminer l\u2019\u00e9cart.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Le Conference Board du Canada (CBdC) \u00e9tudie l\u2019\u00e9cart croissant des comp\u00e9tences depuis 2000.
