Offshore, Eastern Canada

The Erik Raude, a modern drilling rig built for ultra deep waters and extreme weather conditions, was brought into Halifax harbour to undergo upgrades. Black & McDonald's Land & Sea Instrumentation subsidiary provided over 300 skilled tradespeople to complete the project within a tight schedule. Their experience and management skills were cited as being the keys to overcoming the challenges and making the project a huge success.

Sable Offshore Energy Project

Goldsboro & Point Tupper, NS

Black & McDonald's BMS Offshore Limited was a major multi-trade subcontractor for the Greenfield construction of the natural gas processing plant in Goldsboro and the fractionation plant at Point Tupper. Installation included mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment and materials associated with the pipe racks. During construction, trades for Black & McDonald exceeded 800 people.

Engineers: BBA Joint Venture which included BMS Offshore Limited, an Affiliate Company of Black & McDonald Limited.
